This Privacy Policy explains how ALBI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our app and website (the "Service"). By using ALBI, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

Name or nickname, email address, and password (stored securely).
Profile details you provide, such as date of birth, gender, height, weight, and activity level.

Wellness and health data

Journal entries, daily reflections, mood logs, and intentions.
Wellness logs including water intake, sleep, exercise, steps, and meals.
Cycle tracking entries, progress photos, and wellness goals.
Recipes saved and content generated for you (e.g. meal and exercise plans).

Connected accounts

If you choose to connect a fitness account (such as Fitbit or Strava), we receive data from those providers, such as activity and exercise metrics, to display in your app.

Payment information

When you subscribe to ALBI Premium, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers; Stripe handles that securely.

Usage and technical data

Device information, usage patterns, and analytics that help us improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
To personalise wellness content, recommendations, and insights.
To process subscription payments and manage your plan.
To send you service-related emails, such as verification codes and account updates.
To improve, debug, and secure the Service.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Educational and Wellness Content

The wellness data you log and the content generated within ALBI are provided for educational and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not use your data to provide medical advice.

4. Sensitive Information

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, health information, genetic information, and certain other personal data are treated as "sensitive information," which carries additional protections. ALBI collects health and wellness data — such as cycle tracking, mood logs, sleep, nutrition, body measurements, and progress photos — as sensitive information. We collect it only with your consent, use it only to provide and personalise the Service, and never sell it. You can withdraw consent and delete this data at any time from Settings.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described below:

Service providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate, such as hosting, email, analytics, and payment processing (Stripe).
Connected integrations: When you connect a fitness account, data is exchanged with that provider per their terms.
Legal compliance: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from Settings, and we will remove it within a reasonable period, subject to legal requirements.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure.

8. Your Rights

Access, update, or delete your personal data through the app.
Disconnect any third-party fitness accounts at any time.
Cancel your subscription at any time.
Request export of your data.

9. Children's Privacy

ALBI is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Users aged 16–17 may use ALBI with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We treat wellness data collected from users aged 16–17 as sensitive information with the same protections described in this policy. We do not knowingly market to or profile minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's data has been collected without appropriate consent, please contact us.

10. International Users

If you access ALBI from outside Australia, your data may be processed in Australia or other countries. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
